Friday Morning's Sunrise

Yesterday morning, I realized at the very hint of dawn that it was going to be a spectacular sunrise.

I had just gotten home from work a few minutes before, but headed back out to the car with my camera and drove to a nearby river trail in Oklahoma City.

The colors in this sunrise were probably the most vibrant I've ever seen.

As the day set in, the colors started to fade more, but still beautiful.

The colors of the sunrise were all but gone by the time I reached a good viewing distance of downtown.  But the morning haze and clouds still made the city look outstanding.

I probably ended up walking a couple miles just enjoying the sunrise.
When was the last time you had to stop what you were doing just to admire something too beautiful to not miss?

Catching Every Oklahoma Sunrise

As a natural night owl, for most of my life I did not see many sunrises.
In college, I pretty much only met a sunrise if I was staying awake all night.
Now, being a night owl still holds true...and good thing since I get off work at 5:30 in the morning, and I often see sunrises now due to my schedule.  Sometimes if I have to work late, or if I go grocery shopping after work, I am still out and about when the sun is rising.  Over the past month, I have seen some of the most beautiful sunrises, and a few wonderful sunsets, and I thought I'd share some of them with you!
As a side note:  why don't we in the English language have ONE word that can describe a sunrise and a sunset sky in the same word?  It would be a word that would change my life.
Sunrise and Thunderstorm in Midwest City, Oklahoma
This sunrise is my favorite I've seen in 2014.  When I came outside after purchasing some groceries after work, I noticed the clouds were beginning to turn into what appeared to be a very vibrant and unique sunrise.

I found the nearest parking lot with the least inhibited view to sit and watch.

On the left side of this cloud were deep blue tones and a lot of lightning.  On the right side of this cloud, pinks and purples gradually infiltrated the sky.

Oklahoma.  This is where thunderstorms and sunrises meet.

The way the colors fade together is just perfect.  It looks like an artistic exercise in blending perfectly from one color to another with all the perfect gradual shades in between.

Sunset in Norman, Oklahoma

Since I travel to work at different locations, I get to see sunrises and sunsets in many areas near Oklahoma City.  These pictures are from a field of wild sunflowers growing behind a business in Norman.

On our way to visit Tyler's parents, we saw this beauty.  I just can't help but to stare at these kinds of sunsets that look like dancing fire in the sky.

Are you ever just so enamored by the sunset or sunrise sky that you have to just stop and stare for a little while?  Maybe even watch it in its entirety and transitions?

Let's Have a Coffee Break

Well, hey there!  It has been quite. a. while. since I've posted here at Let's Drink Coffee, Darling!

I'm stopping in to let the bloggy world know I miss it, and I'm hoping to be back soon with some posts!
If you were wondering where I've been, I have a lot of reasons that sound like excuses - but they're not, because I'm glad I can take time off from my blog when I need to focus on my life!  It's been about a month since my last post, which seems absolutely crazy because I've just been so busy the time has just flown by.
Some posts you can expect to see soon-ish will be a recap of our one-year wedding anniversary that was on May 18th, and this past weekend we took a trip with Tyler's family to dig for quartz in Arkansas!  I have lots of pictures and travel adventures to share in those posts, so keep your eyes open for them!

Now here are my reasons for not posting that sound like excuses:

I've been super busy changing my work schedule (again) as I now have to wake up at 4:30 am every morning for work.  If you know me, I. Am. Not. A Morning. Person.  Let's just say, it's tough.
Some of you might also know that I've been going as a part time student for a few years, which has really drug the university experience out way beyond the limits of what it ever should be.  I'll be lucky if I even like my university again by the time football season rolls around.  But on a positive note, my last three classes are this summer!  They're all upper division electives, so I've been getting to change things up and have a little fun!
Here are some pictures of the fun I've been having in my first class this summer, and by the end of this week I'll just have two more classes!

We got a new computer as an anniversary gift (yay!), so its awesome to have something that doesn't have a broken screen and works quickly!  I'm sure you're thinking, "Wait, how is this an excuse for not posting a blog post?"  Well, let me answer your question.  I have come to realize that I am Windows 8 illiterate.  I simply haven't figured out how to use it yet.  The other reason related to technology being that my hubby blames our old computer's slowness from being bogged down by all my photos, so I am no longer allowed to put my pictures directly on the computer since hubby basically gave me his external hard-drive.  I haven't taken the time to delete what is currently on the hard-drive and move all my pictures from the old computer to the hard-drive and then move all my recent pictures from my phone or camera to the external hard-drive so that I can upload them to write a blog post.
My last reason for not writing a blog post recently is because I've been furthering my endeavors with Love Coffee Darling, my small shop.  A couple months ago, my mom and grandma decided to open up a booth in Shawnee, Oklahoma to sell some of their rustic and primitive things.  I've been adding some of my own products, which has definitely been the main thing that has taken over the time that would normally be blog time.  I've really been missing the blog recently, and especially getting on and reading all of YOUR lovely posts!
Here are just a few of the items I've been making for Love Coffee Darling!  You can visit my facebook page to see more!
