Hey there, Coffee Readers!
For our second day of Christmas Craftiness, I bring you the Button-Cluster Christmas Bauble. If any of you have a button jar, now is the time to get it out.
The only items I needed to make this were...
- a variety of buttons in many sizes and colors
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- an old bauble
I started my first button on the very bottom of the bauble. It was a large button with a rim, that way the bauble can now stand up on its own.
Around each large button, I placed many smaller buttons for filler.
Remember as you glue to begin with your starting button, and surround it equally with buttons on all sides as you go around. This will help you keep your spacing right, and if you have a problem area, it won't be in the middle of your bauble.
There you have it. A Button-Cluster Christmas Bauble.
I really love how chic this Christmas ornament is.
And finally, on the Christmas tree!
dear Coffee Readers!
Adorable. Now I have a use for my button jar.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll get a chance to make one! This is one of my favorite ornaments...and now my button jar isn't overflowing anymore! haha
DeleteThis looks so pretty, I love the wide ribbon you've put with it too, really finishes it of nicely.
ReplyDeleteThanks Julia! I love the style of that ribbon too - it does help take some of the bulkiness out of the buttons. :)
DeleteWhat a cute idea....never thought of buttons!! Thanks for sharing at Throwback Thursday.
